Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: 31 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Newsgez collects, uses, stores and shares information when you visit newsgez.com, create an account, use reader tools, contact us or join our newsletter launch list. Newsgez is responsible for the information it collects for these services. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@newsgez.com or use our Contact Us form.
1. Information you provide
- Accounts: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We do not store readable passwords.
- Contact enquiries: your name, email address, enquiry subject, message and submission time, along with any information you choose to send by email.
- Newsletter launch list: your email address, the consent wording and version you accepted, and signup time. Addresses are held pending verification; newsletter delivery has not started.
Do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive documents in contact messages. Paid billing is not active and Newsgez does not currently collect card details.
2. Technical information
Our hosting, security, advertising and consent services may process IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic information to deliver and protect the site. Newsgez form rate limits use a hashed value derived from an IP address and request context. Advertising and analytics partners may also process identifiers and browsing interactions as described below, subject to applicable consent and their settings.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and site functionality, maintain secure sessions, respond to messages and correction requests, manage newsletter consent, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and improve the service. Advertising and analytics processing supports ad delivery, measurement and understanding site usage, subject to the choices offered by our consent system. We do not sell our account, contact or newsletter lists.
4. Cookies and device storage
A necessary Newsgez session cookie keeps an account signed in for up to 14 days. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax on the public HTTPS site. Signing out revokes the active session. Saved headlines, favourite publishers, topic choices, reading-size settings and proposed plan preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage and do not currently sync across devices.
Hosting and consent providers may set cookies needed for security and recording privacy choices. Ezoic and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers for advertising and analytics. You can manage browser cookies and storage in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in and reader tools.
5. Ezoic advertising, analytics and consent
Newsgez uses Ezoic integration scripts, including Gatekeeper Consent for consent management, an Ezoic ad-system loader and Ezoic analytics. Ezoic and its partners may collect and use device information, IP addresses, cookie or advertising identifiers, pages viewed and interactions to provide, measure and improve advertisements and website performance. Personalised advertising may take account of previous visits to this and other websites where permitted by your choices and applicable requirements.
Privacy controls presented by the consent manager allow visitors, where available, to review vendors and purposes, accept or reject optional processing, and change their choices. The controls shown may vary by location. Our direct MoodSwitch banner is clearly labelled as a promotion; it does not require a Newsgez account.
See Ezoic’s Newsgez-specific privacy disclosure and Ezoic’s Privacy Policy for its processing and partner information.

6. Google and other advertising partners
When Google advertising services are used through an advertising partner or enabled on this site, Google and other third-party vendors may place and read cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to provide personalised advertising, subject to consent and account settings.
You can review or opt out of personalised Google advertising in Google My Ad Center. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and apps. Other participating advertising vendors may provide their own opt-out controls; YourAdChoices provides additional information. These controls do not necessarily stop all advertisements.
7. Service providers and external websites
Newsgez uses hosted website and database services, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure, to operate the site. Our email provider processes messages sent to our contact address. Fonts may load from Google Fonts. We share information with providers only as needed for their services, security, legal obligations or advertising and analytics described in this policy.
News feeds are fetched by our server from selected publishers. Opening an original report, publisher website, social-share link or app-store link takes you to another service. Its own privacy policy and terms apply. Social-share controls are ordinary links; we do not embed social-network tracking widgets for these buttons or post to your account automatically.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain account records while needed to provide and secure your account. We keep contact enquiries for handling requests and related records, and newsletter details while your signup remains active or pending. We review deletion requests and remove information when it is no longer needed, subject to legitimate security, dispute-resolution or legal retention requirements. Browser-local preferences remain until you clear them. Providers maintain their own retention practices described in their policies.
9. Your choices and requests
You can browse public headlines without an account, sign out, change browser storage settings and choose whether to join the newsletter list. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by Newsgez, withdraw newsletter consent, or raise a privacy concern, email contact@newsgez.com. We may need information to verify the request and protect other people’s data. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location. Future newsletter messages will include an unsubscribe method.
Clearing device data removes locally saved preferences and stories. It does not delete your account, contact messages or newsletter signup; contact us for those requests.
10. Security, international processing and children
We use safeguards including HTTPS, hashed passwords, expiring sessions and restricted access to enquiries and newsletter records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, and their policies describe their processing and safeguards.
Newsgez is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can review it.
11. Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy when our services, providers or privacy practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Contact Newsgez at contact@newsgez.com or through Contact Us with any questions.
