The title Tropszyn is talked about for the primary time in a doc from 1390, referring to its proprietor Chebda from Tropsztyn. Nonetheless, archaeological analysis has confirmed that the fort was constructed on the flip of the thirteenth and 14th centuries. One could assume that its founder was Gniewomir or his father Zbroslaw, the inheritor of Tropie village. The fort belonged to Chebda till 1535. Then Prokop Chebda bought the already abandoned fortress to the Sandomierz castellar Piotr Kmita. Shortly thereafter, Robkowscy dominated the fort, then the Gabanski household, who most likely rebuilt the fortress. Originally of the seventeenth century Tropsztyn was fully ruined.
