The Younger Hearts – Misty


A timeless track written in 1954 by pianist Erroll Garner. He composed it as an instrumental within the conventional 32-bar formatand recorded it for the album Contrasts (1955). Lyrics had been added later by Johnny Burke.

It grew to become the signature track of Johnny Mathis, showing on his 1959 album Heavenly and reaching quantity 12 on the U.S. Pop Singleschart later that 12 months.
