A Denver Police Division officer was critically injured after getting hit by a hearth truck in the course of the Denver Nuggets NBA championship parade on Thursday, police mentioned.
The DPD officer was hit close to the tip of the parade route and rushed to the hospital with severe accidents, police mentioned in a tweet.
The hearth truck was carrying NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic, his daughter, teammate Jamal Murray and Nuggets proprietor Stan Kroenke, CBS Colorado reported. Jokic and Murray continued driving on the truck to the deliberate rally to have fun the workforce’s first NBA title, in response to CBS Colorado.
A video posted to Twitter by witness Brian Willie confirmed officers dashing to help the injured officer after the crash.
Willie instructed CBS Colorado in a Twitter message that the officer was “caught underneath the entrance proper tire and was trapped. Murray on high of the truck watching, making an attempt to calm crowd and fearful for officer.”
