EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is in manufacturing on a documentary sequence about Paolo Macchiarini, a disgraced surgeon convicted of gross assault for implanting synthetic windpipes in sufferers who later died.
Nutopia, the UK manufacturing firm behind Limitless with Chris Hemsworth and Queen Cleopatra, is producing the three-part sequence, working titled Dangerous Surgeon: Love Beneath the Knife.
The documentary will highlight the work of Macchiarini, who got down to revolutionize regenerative drugs in 2011 by implanting plastic windpipes in sufferers determined for a remedy.
