A strip of freeway in South Carolina was briefly coloured pink (and blue) after a U-Haul trailer carrying clothes dye was concerned in a crash, spilling the dye everywhere in the street.
The accident happened on I-85 south between Freeway 129 and Freeway 29.
The Spartanburg County Emergency Administration group alerted drivers to the crash through their Fb web page, saying:
“There’s been a spill of natural textile/clothes dye in 2 of the three lanes. Will probably be some time earlier than a contractor cleans it up, and site visitors is backed up. Whereas the colours are fairly, we’re fairly certain you do not need it in your automobile!
Reportedly, nobody was injured within the accident. Images from a Sky4 Information Chopper present a person, apparently the unfortunate driver, standing by a U-Haul trailer on the aspect of the street with dye throughout his garments.
The accident triggered main delays on the freeway whereas staff cleaned up the mess. As a result of proximity of this spill to the North Tyger River, the Emergency Administration group warned that there could possibly be a colourful sheen on the river’s floor for the following few days “Please know that we’re conscious of this, and it doesn’t current any hurt to the atmosphere, nor to individuals, nor to aquatic wildlife,” they wrote on Fb.
