Brian Eno has unveiled the second monitor, “We Let It In,” off his forthcoming, beforehand introduced album, FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE. That includes vocals by his daughter Darla Eno, the track’s accompanying lyric video shows his granddaughter Anya’s handwriting.
The over three-minute ambient monitor is sort of a soothing meditation, with Eno’s deep croon over Darla’s spoken-word vocals.
As Eno is bringing in a brand new sound with the upcoming album, he mentioned in a press launch that the brand new track can hear his “lowered” voice. “It’s turn into a distinct persona I can sing from,” Eno says in a press release, “I don’t wish to sing like a teen, it may be melancholy, a bit regretful. As for writing songs once more—it’s extra landscapes, however this time with people in them.”
The “We Let It In” video was directed by Eno and London-based artist Orfeo Tagiuri. The climate-change-inspired, upcoming album is out Oct. 14.
