A brush hearth that broke out Friday within the San Bernardino Mountains had consumed no less than 50 acres by late afternoon.
The Manzanita hearth was burning close to Freeway 330 and Forest Street 1N09, about 9 miles from Working Springs, San Bernardino Nationwide Forest officers mentioned.
Flames have been spreading quickly, based on the San Bernardino County Fireplace Safety District.
