PS5 and Xbox Series X Restocks Expected Soon for Amazon Prime Members

If you’re one of the many people still trying to get their hands on a PS5 or Xbox Series X, you might have a chance soon at Amazon. The online retailer has added a bullet point to its PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X listings saying “Amazon Prime customers will be given priority access to the [PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X] through 12/31.” That means you can expect at least one restock between now and the end of the year.

(Xbox Series S is actually in stock now, in both the standard edition and the Fortnite & Rocket League bundle.)

If you don’t have a Prime membership, you can sign up for one here. New members get a 30-day free trial, which is long enough to get you priority access to any PS5 and Xbox Series X drops through the end of the year.

How to Know When New Stock Arrives

Of all the retailers that sell PS5 and Xbox Series X, Amazon is among the least likely to let customers know in advance when new stock will be available. Who doesn’t like a surprise, right? Unfortunately, that makes it extremely difficult to get one.

There are a few ways to track Amazon’s stock, though. First of all, you can follow IGN Deals on Twitter. In addition to posting deals that are of interest to our audience, we always try to let followers know when new-gen consoles are in stock at any retailer. Other deal accounts like Wario64 and videogamedeals do the same thing.

If you’re not always online, you’ll probably be better off following dedicated console stock trackers like PS5StockAlerts and XboxStockAlerts and setting up notifications for their posts.
