Saturday, Nov. 20

A Craft & Bake Sale is set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Midland VFW, Chemical City Post 3651, 3013 Bay City Road in Midland. A variety of items will be available to get your holiday shopping started. Also, guests can pick up some delicious baked goods to satisfy their sweet tooth or for their Thanksgiving gathering.

The Midland Santa Holiday Parade is set for 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Midland High School, move along Eastlawn before turning onto Saginaw Road, then go along Ashman Street and finish on Main Street in Downtown Midland. For more information, visit https://midlandsantaparade.org/

A Holiday Art Fair is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Midland Center for the Arts. The art fair will continue 12-4 p.m. Sunday. Featuring over 30 local artists and vendors, this event will send guests home with art, handmade items and special gifts for the holiday season. Tickets are $5 for one day, $8 for both days, free for Museum Members and ages 17 and under. Those who are attending Rudolph: The Musical or Jon Paul Morosi events may show their performance ticket upon entry to the art rair and gain free admission. Masks are required to be worn while indoors at Midland Center for the Arts.

A Deer Widows Shopping Event is set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Midland Moose Lodge, 3626 N. Saginaw Road, Midland. Guests will be able to do some holiday shopping all the while benefiting local businesses and participate in a Shelterhouse fundraiser. There will also be sales and raffle baskets. Participating businesses include Sassy & Chic Boutique, Socal Threads, Breezy Lane Boutique, Unci Boutique, Fill Michigan, Serendipity Design Studio, Beyond Measure, Paint Pours by Tia, Grandma’s Tumblers and more.

A Hot Cocoa Crawl is set for 12-3 p.m. in Downtown Midland, hosted by the Midland Downtown Business Association. Join participating retailers and restaurants to sample their own spin on delicious hot cocoa recipes. Enjoy a complimentary hot cup while browsing the shops or stopping for lunch. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite cocoa and help one lucky downtown business win bragging rights for the season.

Mastodons, Mammoths and Opossums, Oh My! An Ice Age Exploration is set for 2-3:30 p.m. at Chippewa Nature Center. Through hands-on activities, children will discover living and extinct Ice Age mammals that have called Michigan home. The group will explore the trails for clues to learn how mastodons mammoths and opossums adapted to the harsh Ice Age environment. This is a free event geared for ages 5 and up. www.chippewanaturecenter.org

Sunday, Nov. 21

Turkey Talk and Walk is set for 2-3 p.m. at Chippewa Nature Center. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so we’ll be talking everything turkey! Join CNC staff to look for wild turkeys, make turkey sounds and learn about these unique birds. This is a free event for all ages. www.chippewanaturecenter.org
